How does it work from a practical point of view?

Let me explain in detail using the example of Idaton 17. The surface of the stone is dotted with dark spots, which we have to transfer to paper. We should then weed out those signs and images that are more formless, and leave those that we subjectively think carry a clear message in their image. The whole process is shown step by step in the photos below. It is also easy to notice that the signs of this stone consist of several groups: numbers, animals, mythical creatures, humanoid figures. So, we choose from the total number of signs those that look the most impressive from an aesthetic point of view and with the help of graphic programs we make a shape correction, smoothing out corners and irregularities, bringing the sign to a laconic image. After that, we can check these signs for compliance with the ratios of the Golden Ratio. And then use them for any type of design work - from wall posters, wallpaper, patterns on fabrics, to art objects of large and small sizes. I wanted to embody this in poster design, engraving and painting.

2. It is possible to distinguish thematic groups among the signs - mythical creatures, animals, anthropoids, letters, numbers and just signs. As shown in the pictures below.

3. Next, we choose the signs that are the most interesting, carefully draw them, and give them a complete look with the help of graphic programs. As a result, we get signs like this.

4. After that, we can check the signs for compliance with the proportions of the Golden Ratio to make sure that the received signs will be positively perceived by the conscious and subconscious mind.

5. Now we can use these signs in design (fabrics, furniture, wallpaper, interiors, patterns), engravings, painting, printing, sculpture, etc.

5. Some stones contain both signs and more complex images. Simple signs are more obvious. Complex is often a collection of small spots, which, in certain lighting, form an interesting image. It's a more creative process to see that image. As a rule, the image does not appear in its entirety. First, you will see some detail of the base, and then the association will "complete" the whole image. Images are subjective perceptions. This is very similar to looking at drawings in Rorschach tests, where everyone will see only one image that they understand. But the interesting thing is that every person is able to see a sign or an image in a stone. My task as an artist is to inspire you to see and do it. The natural world is extraordinarily beautiful and holds many secrets. You can open some of them.
