Ida Iris, artist, creator of the project
Voice of Stone is an ongoing artistic project rooted in the observation of natural stone surfaces and the imagery that emerges within them. Through attentive study of texture, structure, and organic formation, I identify visual signs that appear embedded in the material itself. These discovered forms become the starting point for interpretation, developed through my authorial visual language into complete works.
The project explores the relationship between natural process and artistic perception, where chance formations are transformed through deliberate interpretation. Each work preserves the integrity of the original structure while revealing an image that exists at the threshold between recognition and imagination. By translating subtle natural patterns into resolved visual compositions, the project situates itself between observation, interpretation, and material presence.
Voice of Stone presents a sustained inquiry into how meaning can emerge from matter, inviting viewers to engage with the silent visual language of nature.
